and my dreams started piling up at a young age: I wanted to be Selena Gomez, I wanted to be a writer, a fashion designer, a painter, a neuroscientist, an illustrator.

I could not find a way to combine all my passions, so, in 2022, I graduated as a clinical psychologist at the KU Leuven. I started working in the university’s hospital where I worked with patients and their loved ones in the face of cancer diagnosis. I loved the job, but felt my artistic side slip away. I quit and started looking for ways to incorporate painting, drawing and writing more into my life again.

I ended up starting a new internship in a creative agency. After four months, my fellow interns and I ‘graduated’ by publishing a children’s book ‘Maan te koop!’ (Moon for sale!). I got the oppurtunity to draw all the illustrations (in only two weeks time!) and felt so happy while doing so.

In 2025, I decided to start combining art with psychology again. Some mornings you find me working with clients, other morning you find me bent over my green coffee mug with my sketchbook or writing pad, scribbling away.
